We had a great Halloween, Isaiah dressed up as Indiana Jones and I was a Hula Girl. We went to a "trunk-or-treat" at our church and then had a carnival after. It was a lot of fun.

Brad and his friends got one last trip to Moab in this year. They left on a Thursday and got home Sunday. They had a lot of fun! They really are like kids in a candy store, they love it. They got some great pics.

FIELD TRIP

Isaiah had his first field trip of the year and I asked him if he wanted me or daddy to go and he said "Um, I think it is my dad's turn because you went last time, I don't want to make him feel sad." It was so funny, Brad was so good to take time off of work and go with him, Isaiah loved having his dad there! They went to the pumpkin farm and to the fire station.

My parents have a cabin in Island Park and with them living in Utah now, it is not very often that they get to go so they called and asked us to come up with them for the weekend and go through Yellowstone. We try to go through Yellowstone 3 or 4 times every summer, it is my favorite! I love to see the animals, I could watch them for hours! We had the best time with my parents!

My Dad has always been full of jokes and he loves a good prank! There is nothing better than watching my dad tease my mom, she is VERY proper and he is all about embarassing her! The funny thing about this is my dad is cracking himself up, he thinks he is the funniest person ever!

My mom is the best, she is so loving and kind and she is pretty much always the butt of the joke and she takes it so well! I am so lucky to have her, she is the best mom in the world!

We saw lots of animals and had a great time. Thank you Brad for always letting me wear your jacket even though I NEVER remember to bring mine!!

My girl!! Let's give her a break! I am only going to say one thing, I am trying a new thing I like to call keeping my mouth shut. I have expressed my political opinions way to many times and have gotten in way too many political debates with people and I think that I have offended them. I have a hard time when it comes to people disagreeing with me on politics (imagine that) I am trying to do better but I can't keep quiet about this ONE issue:
ABORTION- My opinion on this topic has never changed as an infertile woman it has absolutely become stronger but it has never changed. I cannot imagine being in a situation where that would even be an option, I do however believe that in some cases there are extenuating circumstances but when a woman CHOOSES by her own free will to perform the act in which she knows that babies are created she then should know that there is a possibility that she could get pregnant. I feel so sad that a woman finding herself in this situation would choose to abort the baby. Women's Right to Choose? What about the baby's rights? Come on people, women have come so far in this world, let's take responsibility for our own actions. I became a mother because of a woman who found herself in a situation and wanted more for her baby. Watching her go through the choice of placing her baby for adoption was one of the hardest things I have ever been through, just watching it. I can't imagine what she went through, I just reaped the rewards of her selfless decision and out of that decision came the greatest thing in my life. The only person in this world that has ever given me more is my Savior. She gave me life and she is the reason I became a mother. Here's the thing, I go to bed at night wishing I had a baby and I wake up in the morning wishing the same thing. It has made me realize the truth that there is never an unwanted pregnancy.

This week Brad and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary. I know, 13 years, we are getting old!! We were going to go some where for the weekend but I had to speak in church so we went to Idaho Falls for the night. We ate at our favorite restaurant Johnny Carinos Friday night and then we went to the mall and the bike shop Saturday. We had a great time. I am so lucky to have such a great husband. He completes me and he had me from hello. Ha ha! I really do love him and I cannot believe it has already been 13 years!

I have read a lot of great books this summer so I thought I would share them with you and let you know what I thought of each one.

This book was a little on the weird side. I really liked Twilight so I was excited to read this one but she really over did it.

I didn't really love this one either, it was just okay.

I really liked this book, it was kind of depressing but I did enjoy it.

Great book!

I loved this book, it was one of my favorites.

Kind of a disappointment.

My nanny recommended Nicholas Sparks and I really like him. I am actually in the middle of this book but so far I am loving it.

I have also read COUNTESS BELOW STAIRS and HEARTS IN HIDING both of which I loved but I could not find a picture of them. Well those are my summer reads, I would recommend most of them.

I have to write about my kick-butt cousin Shai Brown. She is the best!! I have the pleasure of working with her everyday and she is such a joy to look at she makes work a lovely place!! FIRST DAY OF FIRST GRADE!!

Isaiah started first grade last week, he was so excited and of course I cried like a baby. In fact, Brad made me leave the house the night before because I couldn't stop crying and he said I was going to upset Isaiah and I needed to get control of myself. I feel bad because my baby is growing up. I have now gained some composure and can make it through the day without crying. Brad and I both dropped him off and met his teacher and made sure he was settled. He did so great and he loves it.

I ran into my friend Stacey Proctor at the grocery store last night and I just have to give her a SHOUT OUT!! She was loading her car as I pulled in and she went back into the store with me and pushed my cart all around the store while I loaded it up. She listened to me complain about my pathetic problems and we laughed the entire time because they really are pathetic. She doesn't even get mad at me for calling her "Stacey Proctologist" she really does rock. Hey Stacey I love ya and I am lovin' the red in your hair, you are smokin'. Okay so now that my favorite show is over and my least favorite dancer won, I thought that I would post my favorite dances of the season. Sorry if you have already seen them on my blog, I love these dances and I love this show!

First and you will see why when you watch it, Jessica and Will dance to "Alone" it was phenomenal! I have watched it time and time again, it is my favorite. Enjoy!!

This is my second favorite, I love this song and I love Chelsie and Mark in this dance, they did such a great job. I love that Mark takes Chelsie's heart and that she kicked his briefcase and then threw her little fit. I thought it was fabulous!! Enjoy!!

BREAKING DAWN--WARNING SPOILER ALERT!!

Okay, so I am not really sure what to think about Breaking Dawn. I really liked the first part of the book, the part about the car, the wedding, I LOVED that Jacob showed up at the wedding and I really liked the honeymoon... but and there is a huge but, I really didn't like the pregnancy part. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that they had a baby, I just didn't like that the baby grew so fast and that she was hurting her all the time. I didn't like it that as a human Bella was drinking blood. GROSS!! That part was just a little too SCI-FI for me. I did love that they had a baby girl and that she was so cute but her name is kind of giving me a rash! What is up with calling her Nessie? YIKES!! Maybe Stephenie Meyer just loves Napoleon Dynamite! I did like that Bella became a vampire but I didn't like the fact that she didn't complain about the pain just to spare Edward's feelings. I like the old Bella that whines about everything, the Bella that cried because Edward was taking her to the prom, not Bella the martyr. I wanted the book to be about Bella choosing between Jacob and Edward and them fighting over her. I know, I know you are thinking that already happened in Eclipse but I am still not really satisfied with it. I LOVE Edward but I like Jacob too. I don't really like it that he has a thing for their daughter. I did love the end where he finally read Bella's mind, that was great! All in all I thought it was just okay, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it and I will probably read it again because I am addicted, I have O.C.D. and that's just how I roll. Can't wait for the movie!! Also, if anyone has any great book recommendations hook a sister up, I really prefer love stories but not disgusting ones, you know what I mean. Tanks (Prison Mike)

VEGAS BABY!!

So a few weeks ago some friends and I took a little trip to Mesquite for the weekend. We left Thursday after work and drove the entire way, we didn't get there until sometime early Friday morning I don't really remember what time it was but I was really tired. We woke up at about 11:00 Friday and went to the pool and then went and rented some movies and got pizza and just vegged all day long. We played some games and ate lots of cookie dough and just had a great time giggling and visiting. Then Saturday we went into Vegas and shopped all day and then that night we saw MAMA MIA!! It was so great, I had seen it once before in Salt Lake but the Vegas show was amazing. We had the best time, we drove home Sunday and we were all pretty tired but we made it and we had lots of fun! There's nothing like a good girl's trip, stay up all night eat lots of junk and giggle until someone wets their pants!

So we survived another season of football. It was a lot of fun, Isaiah had a great time and met some new friends. He is not really into it for the competition, he just likes to goof-off with the other kids. He would even pull the flags off of his own teammates. His coach was a great guy, he spent so much time with the kids, we really appreciate all the time and effort he put into it (it is definitely not an easy job) Brad got to help him coach and that was fun, he really enjoyed it. We get to take about a month off and then we start baseball. GO ZAIAH!!

I can't believe that Isaiah is 7!! It was his birthday June 20th and I am finally getting around to posting the pictures on our blog. We went to Randy's Tumbling with some family and a few friends from school. He had so much fun. We got him a few toys and then at the end of the party we brought in a cocker spaniel puppy. He is so cute, Isaiah named him Fynn and we love him so much. It is always such a bitter sweet time for me because I hate seeing him grow up. It seems like just yesterday that he was a baby and next year he will get baptized, I can't even think about how fast time goes. I am so lucky to be his mom, he is the best little boy, he is always so kind and loving with everyone. He truly is the greatest gift I have ever been given. We get to write a letter to his birth mom and send her pictures every year on his birthday, we tell her about the year and what we have been doing. We are so lucky to be able to stay in contact with her, we love her so much, she truly is our angel. She gave our family the greatest gift we have ever been given, words cannot express how we feel about her, we are eternally grateful for her and I am honored to share the title of mother with her.

Oh how I love this show! I cannot stop watching it and I save all of them on my TV. I love Kherington and Twitch which is a change for me because I was so over Twitch when they put him in the top 20, but now that they partnered him with cute Kherington I love him. My favorite dance so far is the Viennese Waltz. It was so great! I have to say that Mary Murphy is giving me a big time rash! Home girl is crazy! What is up with her? Sometimes I am like what in the world is she wearing. And does she know that she is a middle aged woman. And most the time I am like what did she just say!!!! I am so glad that they brought Tabatha and Napoleon in as choreographers, they are the best! I love them! Well, this is my update, I will give another one probably tomorrow when I find out who gets cut and hallelujah that Susie got cut! How did that girl even make it? YIKES! I did not like her at all. It was funny when she cried because the choreographer said that she was a "street salsa dancer" that was great!

So I have to blog about the highlight of the American Idol Season. When Syesha went to visit her hometown and her mayor whipped out that handstand! It was so great! I seriously watched it like 50 times. I could not stop laughing and I made Brad watch it with me. He got a little bored with it after awhile but I just could not stop watching it. What the heck? That was so great! I don't know if you saw that guy that tried to catch her but the look on his face was priceless. It was without a doubt the best part of the entire season! Oh yeah! My second favorite show started this week, second only to THE OFFICE, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, DANCE, DANCE, DANCE! I love it and it did not disappoint. I love contemporary and I love Mia Michaels. I am really glad she cut that mullet! YIKES! She reminded me of our old neighbor from West Jordan and Billy Ray Cirus both of which are men and the mullet didn't work for them either. Let the mullet die with the 80's! Oh yeah I got a little off subject, I love this show, there are some really great dancers this season. And I really get a kick out of the ones that are not that great! Sometimes I laugh until I wet myself! I really like the guy who refers to himself as "Sex" he reminds me a lot of Brad! Not just his look but also his dance skills. He's got some sweet moves. It is a little disturbing that his mom has brought him to every audition and she is his biggest fan. Double YIKES! But seriously this is going to be a great season. ROCK ON, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE!!

STREP THROAT

Okay so I have been sick this year with strep and it just will not go away. I finished my antibiotics last Sunday and Wednesday I started getting sick again. By Friday morning Brad forced me to go to insta-care and by forced I mean he took me. I went right at 8:00 so I would be there right when they opened because I was going on Isaiah's field trip and I had to go to work right after so I didn't have any time in between. They did a test and of course I had it AGAIN. I went on the field trip and afterwards was headed to work and my boss called and told me to take the day off. I thought it was so nice of him and I was soooo sick. I called the girls that I work with to tell them what absolutely had to get done and they proceeded to tell me that Brad called my boss and asked him to please send me home if I tried going to work. I was absolutely MORTIFIED! I could not believe that he did that! He also called and made me an appointment with the throat dude and I had to go this morning. Of course Brad went with me, I think that he went because I do not want to have my tonsils out and he thinks I need to. The doctor looked at them and said they definitely needed to come out and I swear Brad grinned from ear-to-ear, I think he was excited about being right. So I have to have my tonsils out June 5th and I am not very happy about it at all. I do have to give my husband some props he is very kind to take me to all of these appointment or should I say drag me to all of these appointments.

THE OFFICE SEASON FINALE!!

Okay so I was so excited for The Office Season Finale and it did not disappoint. It was great! It was an hour long and I laughed pretty much the entire time. First Toby is leaving which makes me kind of sad, I hope that he doesn't really leave. I really like his replacement Holly though she's pretty great and Michael thought that he was in love with her. Actually he said that it was love at first sound because he hated her when he first saw her. Michael is really excited that Toby is leaving and he did his exit interview and wrapped up a rock for him that said "suck on this" it was really funny. Actually he made Dwight wrap it for him and then he said that it was a prank because he was trying to make a good impression on Holly. Jim was going to propose to Pam but Andy stole his moment by proposing to Angela. I am a little nervous about what is going to happen to Jim and Pam, she is going away to school and I am nervous that they might break up. Also, I cannot believe that Jan is pregnant and poor Michael, she went to a sperm bank because she didn't want him to be the dad. All in all it was a great episode, it never disappoints. I have watched it about 5 times already. I guess you could say that I am obsessed.

FAVORITE COLOR: Red and black
FAVORITE FOOD: I love Mexican food.
FAVORITE TV SHOW: It is not even a competition, I love, love, love THE OFFICE!! It is the best show on TV. I have every episode saved and protected on my DVR. Did I mention that I love it? It is so funny, most weeks I watch it over and over again. If I had to pick a second place it would be LOST which I really like but it does not even compare to how much I love THE OFFICE.
FAVORITE MOVIE: Pride and Prejudice. "You have bewitched me body and soul" oh I love it. I can't even count how many times I have seen it. May I also say that Brad HATES it. He hasn't even made it through the entire thing. I also really like What About BOB. I know crazy huh. I just think it is so funny. Brad agrees with me on this one.
FAVORITE BOOK: The Twilight Series. I love them. I love Edward but I have to admit I love Jacob just as much. He really took care of Bella and helped her when Edward left. And seriously, I definitely wouldn't kick him out of my sleeping bag if I were freezing and Edward couldn't warm me up!!
HOBBIES: I love to scrapbook and make cards. I love to go camping with my family. We fish and hike and ride bikes. I have to admit that I prefer a hotel over camping it is so great to go as a family that makes up for all the dirt. I do have to shower everyday, that is definitely a requirement. I love being with my friends and taking girls trips! We have so much fun. And probably my favorite is shopping! I am really great at it.
GUILTY PLEASURES: I love to go to the movies all by myself. It is the best. Most of the time I wait until Brad and Isaiah are in bed and I go see the late movie. I really like being alone. Weird I know but I have to have my alone time.
WHAT PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW ABOUT ME: I am a germ freak. I keep the sanitizer companies in business. I also keep Isaiah's pediatrician in business. When we moved from Phoenix my sister literally told her pediatrician that I would be the best patient he would ever have. I have been accused of taking Isaiah to the doctor if he has a runny nose. And this is true. I really FREAK OUT when he gets sick. I do not like it at all. In my defense, I have seen my child in intensive-care hooked up to machines that are keeping him alive. He came out of it fine but I will probably never be the same, I don't think I will ever stop worrying about him getting sick.
I HATE: Cats. I am terrified of them. I know I need help. It has almost caused a divorce on several different occasions because I am completely immobilized when I am around one. Maybe I should stop telling my secrets, I am sounding a little crazy.
I LOVE: Being a mom, being a wife, my family and my friends.
Well that's me, I am a bit of a freak.

7. Who does the laundry? Brad mostly now that I started working full-time.

10. Who cooks more? Me.. Brad is great at the grill and we pretty much grill everything in the summer.

11. What meals do you cook together? We don't cook together, if we have to take something to a party or something we prepare it together. Just because we are usually in a hurry.

12. Who is more stubborn?I think he would say I am and I say he is. Does that tell you anything? I guess I am more stubborn, I just read the following question.

13. Who is first to admit they were wrong? Usually Brad is, I can hold a pretty good grudge.

14. Who is more clean? I like to keep our house clean but when it comes to my car, that is a different story. Brad gets pretty upset when my car is a mess so if I know we are going somewhere in my car, I have to hurry and clean it.

15. Who has more siblings? Me, there are 5 of us and three in his family.

16. Who wears the pants in the relationship? Brad but he is a little more emotional than I am.

17. What do you like to do together? We like to go camping. We go every weekend in the summer. We have season passes to Lagoon and we love to go to Yellowstone. We love going out and just being together. We love to take Isaiah fishing and just spend time together as a family.

18. Who eats more sweets? Brad. He usually makes cookies on Sunday and he eats the entire dozen. I am not joking, he can pound the sweets. I will wake up from my usual Sunday nap and be like oh I smell cookies and I will go to get one and they are gone. He will eat the entire dozen, sometimes he makes two dozen and eats all of them. I don't get it. He never gains weight and he never gets cavities. What the heck?

19. Guilty Pleasures? Okay, I know I will get a lot of crap for this but Brad bought me a massage table for Mother's Day last year and he is so great at giving massages, he should do it as a career although I don't think I would like that very much.

20. How did you meet? My uncle invited my family and Brad's family to go to Lake Powell on his house boat for a week. I was in Jr. High and Brad was in High School. We had a lot of fun. He teased me a lot and I pretty much hated him. He also mooned me every time I looked at him. He is a perv.

21. Who asked who out first? Brad asked me out first. Actually he had his cousin, my best friend, call and ask me out. How lame is that?

22. Who kissed who first? Brad kissed me.

23. Who proposed? Are you kidding? Brad proposed. I would never propose to someone.

24. Best Features? He has the best eyes, they are green and beautiful. Also he is just the funnest person to be with. He has a great personality.

25. What is his Best Quality? He has a great heart! He is so good to me and he is such a great dad. He is the best.

Isaiah's school invited the parents for lunch and for a performance. It was pretty great, they sang some songs and put on a play. Isaiah got to dance with Grace and we were afraid he might throw her across the room but we actually noticed that they put him with the right partner because she is almost as big as he is. I cannot believe that they have two kindergartners that big but they do. I was surprised until I met her parents and they are both VERY tall. Isaiah was so cute, I am not at all prejudice but he was the cutest one! They put shower caps on and sang a song about getting in the washer. I wondered why all week long he asked me if he could get in the dryer. They made us soup and some treats. We had a great time. I was actually laughing so hard that I cried. I can't believe my baby is in school. Where does the time go?

Brad and Isaiah are the best of friends. They do everything together. Everything Brad does he takes Isaiah. It doesn't matter what time of year it is, summertime they are always camping, fishing or boating and in the winter they are skiing. They have so much fun together.
I will never forget the day we brought Isaiah home. We got him from the hospital and Brad would not give him to me. He was not about to take his hands off of him. He loves him so much. He is the best dad and has been since Isaiah was a baby. He would always change his diapers and feed him. Right when he got home from work all he would do is play with his baby. Isaiah loves his daddy so much. I am probably the luckiest person in the world. I have the best boys anyone could ever ask for.

MY BRAD

I just had to write about my sweet husband. He is the best thing in my life. He works so hard for us and takes such good care of us. He is always happy and if I am not he will do whatever it takes to make me happy. He is so kind and loving and although he doesn't look like it he is a big teddy bear. He asked me to please stop writing about him on the blog so this is probably going to make him really happy but I just had to write about what a great husband I have. He is such a great dad, he and Zaiah are best friends. He takes him everywhere. One day when Isaiah was just a tiny baby both he and I had had a tough day. He pretty much cried all day and I didn't get anything done. Brad came home from work and asked what he could do to help. I asked him to run the vacuum and he said that he would but not without his partner. He put my baby carrier on and vacuumed the house with Isaiah. It was so cute. Brad is the love of my life, there have been many times that he has picked me up and made all my problems go away. I love him with all my heart! Love you Brad!!

GUYS TRIP

Brad finally took some time for himself and went with the guys to Moab. They took the camp trailer and parked by all the best trails so they could hit them first thing in the morning. They had so much fun. This was actually Brad's first trip to Moab although he mountain bikes 6 days a week. He loved it and he is looking forward to taking Isaiah and I next time. It looks like fun, I don't think I can keep up with him, but I will do my best. A good time was had by all and they made it back in one-piece which is pretty amazing looking at some of the pictures.

Isaiah played flag football last summer and he loved it. He was so much fun to watch. It was so funny, on the first play he tackled the kid with the ball. We had to take him aside and remind him that it was flag football and not tackle. He had a great coach and met a lot of new friends from his team. We are looking forward to this season.

Cruisin'

Brad and I took a cruise last November and we had such a great time. The weather was amazing. We went snorkeling, I cannot believe I did it because I am so afraid of sharks but I did and it was so much fun. We had the best time, this was our first cruise and we loved it. We got really lonesome for Isaiah though so next time we will probably take him. My parents were great, they took him for over a week. Parents, gotta love 'em

Christmas in Phoenix

This is from one of our Christmases spent in Phoenix. I came across the picture and had to add it. We had so much fun. It took a lot of convincing to get Brad into those pajamas and that Santa hat but once he did I still can't get him out of them! Just kidding. Isaiah LOVED it and we sent it along with our Christmas card which totally kicked trash if I do say so myself. Of course we did not wear the pajamas again until we came back to Idaho, we were wearing shorts and riding our bikes Christmas Day in Phoenix. Why, why why did we ever leave? I HATE the cold. We have so many wonderful memories of Phoenix I just wanted to share one of them.
One of our family traditions is getting a new pair of pajamas every Christmas Eve and it is so much fun, can't imagine a Christmas without it.

ISAIAH

So first I want to start by writing about the most important person in our lives, Isaiah. He is the best little guy in the world, he is so kind and very soft-hearted. He is the light of our lives, the greatest gift we have every been given. He is our big Polynesian Prince, he is very tough and very strong. I can't even lift him any more and he always beats me in wrestling matches. He really does, I am no competition for him anymore. The only one that can take him down is his dad and we are going to enjoy that while it lasts because we don't think it will be too long before he dwarfs daddy too. He is in Kindergarten and he loves it. He loves his teachers and he loves to learn. He is very smart, he is reading on a first-grade level and he is very good at math. His favorite part of school is of course recess, his school is doing a fund-raiser this year for new playground equipment and the kid is really doing his part! If someone gives him money for his birthday he wants to give it to the school, we have found him digging the change out of the ashtrays of our cars so he can buy his school a new playground.
He loves life and always has a smile on his face. He loves sports especially football and baseball and he loves going to the fun zone. He is very social and loves to be the life of the party! He is our life we love our little guy more than words can say and we are so glad that he is ours.

As most of you know, we are a bit slow and some may say in the "stone age". My great friend Rachel assisted us in getting this blog set up so we could keep in touch with those who we aren't able to see as often. Brad is still working at Johnson's Excavation... just tearing it up. Isaiah is in Kindergarten...can you believe how time flies?! He is growing so fast, most people think he is at least 9 years old! As for yours truly, I just started working full time at Patriot Lending. Although it has been an adjustment, I am really enjoying it...I do miss my time with Isaiah though. All is well with the Wright family.
